BIO
I'm a senior at Brooklyn College, majoring in English and Marketing. I actively participate in campus life, attending club events and supporting athletics teams. I enjoy connecting with students from diverse backgrounds and going to events for clubs such as MSA, BSA, and Chabad. As a proud Central Asian American, I hold an E-board position in the Uzbek society and will be involved in the Central Asian Association club. My passion for volunteer work extends to feeding the homeless at the Hillel's Thanksgiving dinner and the spring 2024 blood drive.
For three semesters I volunteered at USG events and attended Senate, Cabinet, and Policy Council meetings. Due to my involvement, I became the School of Humanities and Social Sciences representative for the Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee, where I work closely with USG to gather student feedback on how to make improvements for the School I represent. I want to continue to represent the needs and concerns of the overall student body that we serve. As Senator, I aim to create an Instagram page called Humans of BC, which will address students' concerns about the lack of community and raise awareness about mental health, diversity, sustainability, campus safety, and student resources. I aim to highlight the stories, achievements, and initiatives of various clubs, organizations, and faculty on campus, especially those in underrepresented communities. Not only do I want to be a voice for students but give students a chance to amplify their voices and actively participate in shaping the future of Brooklyn College.
