BIO 

Haikeda Hilliman is an international student at Brooklyn College hailing from the shores of Guyana. She is a young poet and musician majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Music. Throughout her time at Brooklyn College, she has achieved writing goals which include multiple poems published in Brooklyn College’s English Majors magazine called The Junction in 2023 and 2024, where she previously served as a writing intern. Haikeda has also served on the Undergraduate Student Government as a Senator and member of the Student Affair Council for one year in 2024. As the president of the newly chartered Brooklyn College Pan Association (BCPA), and a member of the Malave Leadership academy, Haikeda continues to strive for change and equity through her leadership roles.
