This semester, I am running for a senator position in the Undergraduate Student Government. By joining the Senate, I hope to advocate for the unheard student body. As I have seen on campus, many students do not advocate for themselves. Some students do not feel comfortable expressing themselves and their needs. Because of this their college experience and quality of education are impacted. Talking to students on campus, I realize many are unhappy and don’t know how and where to express themselves. I hope to advocate and express their wants and needs to allow them the comfort on campus they deserve. I have a lot of previous leadership experience as well. In the past, I completed a year-long internship with Hillel on campus as a peer engagement intern. My internship included engaging student on campus with programs and opportunities that benefit their college experience. My ultimate goal is for all students to feel comfortable and happy on campus.
