BIO 

I'm Sofia Mariyamis, someone who is deeply passionate about bringing sustainable changes to the places I belong. As the President of the Brooklyn College Sustainability Club, I've led initiatives that have truly greened our campus. At FloodNet, I engage communities in weaving together efforts to protect our environment. I don't just sit back; I actively participate in sustainability boards and committees, bringing fresh ideas to the table as much as I can. My hands are also in the soil at a fellow CUNY garden, where I intern, learning and growing with every plant. My ambition? To use my role as a student senator to make our campus even more sustainable. For me, it's all about making a tangible impact, and fostering a greener tomorrow, one step at a time.
